Alibaba's Qwen-Robot Suite Challenges Nvidia in AI

Alibaba has revealed its most powerful AI models for robots. These models are part of a new family called the Qwen-Robot Suite. They are designed to help robots see, plan, and move in the real world. This move puts Alibaba in direct competition with US chip leader Nvidia in the "agentic" race. The Qwen-Robot Suite was built by Tongyi Lab, Alibaba’s AI research team. It includes three main models: Qwen-RobotNav for navigation, Qwen-RobotWorld for predicting changes in surroundings, and Qwen-RobotManip for controlling robot arms. Qwen-RobotManip is built on the Qwen3.5-4B architecture. The suite has entered pilot testing with some Alibaba Cloud business customers. Qwen-RobotManip recently topped the generalist track of the RoboChallenge real-robot benchmark. It achieved a 45% task success rate. This development shows a significant step forward in making robots more autonomous and capable.
