Earlier this month, US authorities had blocked access to these models due to national security concerns. The government had discovered vulnerabilities in the safeguards designed to prevent misuse. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick indicated Anthropic worked with the US government to address these risks. The Trump administration has now withdrawn its previous restrictions.
