ChatGPT Scheduled Tasks: Automate Reminders & Monitoring

OpenAI has launched Scheduled Tasks in ChatGPT, allowing the app to run reminders, recurring work, and monitoring jobs automatically. This new feature means you won't need to start a conversation for these tasks. It's rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers across web, iOS, and Android platforms. A new Scheduled page in the sidebar displays every active task, its next run time, and controls to manage it. This changes ChatGPT from a reactive tool to one that can proactively come to you. Tasks can be defined to run at a set time or within a general window like morning, afternoon, or evening. The app runs the task and sends a notification when it has something to report. Tasks cannot run more than once per hour. Monitoring tasks are a key part of this, searching the web or connected apps and alerting you only when something is worth reporting, like a price change or topic update. This new functionality transforms how you can use ChatGPT, making it a more active assistant in your daily digital life.
