Googlebook: Android & AI-Powered Laptops Launching Soon

Google is introducing a new line of laptops called "Googlebook," designed to offer a Mac-like experience for Chrome users. These devices will deeply integrate with Android phones, allowing users to cast apps from their smartphone to the laptop desktop. What's interesting is the extensive use of AI. Googlebook will feature Gemini AI capabilities, including custom widgets that can display personal data, like a timetable of planned flights. A key feature is "Magic Pointer," which replaces the traditional cursor with an AI-powered prompt machine. By wiggling the cursor, users can bring up generative AI prompts based on selected content. Major manufacturers like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo will produce these new designs, expected to launch in the fall. These laptops will also include a "Glowbar" on the chassis to identify them as Googlebook devices.
