Infoblox & GoDaddy: AI Agent Identity & Trust Standards

Infoblox and GoDaddy are collaborating on new open standards to help AI agents identify and verify each other across the internet. Infoblox is advancing DNS for AI Discovery, or DNS-AID, which uses existing Domain Name System infrastructure for agent discovery. GoDaddy is helping develop Agent Name Service, or ANS, an open standard focused on agent identity, naming, and verification using DNS and public key infrastructure. These efforts are complementary and aim to prevent any single vendor from controlling how AI agents are named, discovered, or verified. The companies believe open standards are crucial as AI agents become more common. This will help people and systems know which agents they are interacting with and if those agents are verified. The bottom line is that these standards are designed to build trust and security in our interactions with AI.
