The feature is launching first for ChatGPT Pro users in the U.S. on web and iOS. It supports over 12,000 financial institutions through Plaid, with Intuit support coming next. Users will find a dedicated dashboard showing portfolio performance, spending, and upcoming payments. ChatGPT can then analyze this data to answer questions about budgets, spending patterns, and savings goals. OpenAI stresses this is not a replacement for a financial advisor. OpenAI also highlights privacy controls, stating ChatGPT cannot view full account numbers or make changes to accounts. Users can disconnect accounts, and synced data is deleted within 30 days.
