OpenAI Codex: Record & Replay Automates Mac Tasks

OpenAI's Codex app for macOS now features "Record & Replay." This allows users to demonstrate a workflow to the AI agent just once. For example, uploading a YouTube video with specific details. Codex then transforms this recording into a reusable "skill." It can then repeat that process independently. Here's the thing: this feature is not yet available in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland. It also requires "Computer Use" to be active, though "Computer Use" became available in the EU on June 16th. What's interesting is that version 26.616 also adds bulk actions for automation history and the ability to transfer tasks between local and remote machines. Codex is an AI agent designed for coding and white-collar work automation. While the app is free to download, a paid ChatGPT account is necessary to fully utilize its features. This could change how repetitive digital tasks are managed.
