OpenAI is facing new pressure on its private-market valuation. A direct rival, Anthropic, has reportedly set terms for a $30 billion funding round, valuing that company at $900 billion. This potential valuation for Anthropic would place it above OpenAI's most recent reported valuation of $852 billion. That OpenAI valuation came after a $122 billion funding round in March. OpenAI is also taking steps to build revenue, including setting up a new deployment company with over $4 billion and acquiring the AI consulting group, Tomoro.
