Qodo Expands: AI Code Governance & Engineering Standards

Qodo has expanded its platform with three new capabilities to help teams govern AI-generated code and engineering standards. These are Cross-Repo Code Review, Custom Rules Miner, and Skill Review Standards. What's interesting is that these updates address governance gaps emerging as AI-generated code becomes widespread in enterprises. AI agents are changing how software is built, with pull requests from high AI adoption teams already 154% larger and taking 91% longer to review. They also ship 9% more bugs. Organizations face challenges like dependency failures from cross-repository changes, difficulty for AI agents to discover engineering knowledge, and disconnected review processes from defined standards. Qodo's new capabilities aim to solve these problems. Cross-Repo Code Review, for example, extends Qodo's Git plugin to catch critical bugs that span multiple repositories by surfacing impact findings directly on pull requests before they merge. The bottom line is that these advancements help enterprises manage the increasing volume and complexity of AI-generated code, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to engineering standards.
