Samsung Deploys ChatGPT Codex for Software & Automation

Samsung is giving OpenAI's ChatGPT Codex to employees across its Device eXperience division worldwide and to all workers in Korea. This deployment aims to help them build software, apps, and automation tools. What's interesting is that OpenAI calls this one of its largest enterprise deployments ever. Samsung's DX division alone includes tens of thousands of people globally. While Codex started as a code-writing tool, Samsung is not limiting its use to just engineers. Marketing teams, product developers, and manufacturing staff can also use it for automation. ChatGPT Enterprise is also part of this deal, assisting with research, drafting, data interpretation, and internal documentation. This enterprise tier includes security controls and access management, which is crucial for a company like Samsung. This move could transform how over 300,000 employees get their work done every day.
