AI Bottleneck: Enterprise Content Hinders Agentic AI

A new report indicates that enterprise content is becoming a major bottleneck for agentic AI. While 83% of organizations are running AI agents, only 36% have connected them to trusted internal content across many use cases. Nearly half of these organizations have experienced an AI-related data exposure incident. And just 34% have formal standards for how agents access company data. The report suggests that the challenge has shifted. Access to capable AI models is no longer the main constraint. Instead, organizations must organize their institutional knowledge and build secure infrastructure for agents to use it. This matters because AI agents are only effective if they can securely access and use company-specific information.
