Anthropic & Blackstone: $1.5B AI Venture "Ode" Launched

Anthropic and Blackstone have launched a joint venture called Ode. This new project aims to help large enterprises effectively use AI technology. Ode is valued at $1.5 billion and focuses on providing engineering services for AI implementation. It's not just a software vendor, but a large-scale agency. The Fractional AI startup was acquired to form the foundation of this project. Ode engineers work directly with clients, developing custom systems using Anthropic's Claude models. The company operates on a "Claude-first" principle, but can use competitor AI products if needed. Over 100 engineers are currently working at Ode. Project leader Chris Taylor believes the company could reach a trillion-dollar valuation in the future. This initiative is backed by financial giants like Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs. They saw a gap in implementing AI across many companies. Ode goes beyond theoretical advice to provide practical solutions and coding.
