Aside's AI browser has received an update focused on performance, making it faster and lighter. The team rewrote parts of the browser core to reduce CPU, GPU, and RAM usage. This update aims to address previous issues with lag and sluggishness. The browser now feels significantly faster, with smoother tab switching and a lighter interface. The official changelog for version 1.0.706.1 confirms fixes for CPU spikes and excessive GPU usage. Pinned tabs also no longer use too much memory. Other fixes include more reliable Google OAuth sign-ins, proper session restoration, and the app no longer opening as a fresh window by default. The update also adds Auto PiP and a non-scroll mode for horizontal tabs.
