Chrome 150: PDF Summarization with Gemini Rolls Out

Google has rolled out a new button in Chrome Stable version 150 that allows users to summarize PDFs with one click, using Gemini. This feature appears next to the PDF annotation toolbar and provides an immediate summary. What's interesting is this is different from the "Ask Gemini" feature. It was in beta just days ago. This new button is part of Chrome's stable version 150, which recently saw a stable rollout with many new features and security updates. However, not everyone has access to the button yet, suggesting a staged rollout. Google is also improving PDF support in other areas; the native PDF viewer in Chrome Android will soon work in Incognito mode. This means PDFs will open directly in Incognito tabs instead of prompting a download. These updates aim to make handling PDFs more efficient and integrated within Chrome.
