Digi International recently announced the global availability of its ConnectCore 95 SMARC development kit and unveiled DANI, an embedded AI network-operations agent. These moves highlight Digi’s effort to bundle hardware, security, cloud services, and embedded AI into a single platform. This aims to simplify and scale connected device deployments for enterprise and industrial customers. The ConnectCore 95 SMARC launch is particularly relevant because it includes five years of cloud services and security directly within the hardware module. This bundled offer links device sales more closely to subscription and lifecycle services. Digi International's narrative projects $664.6 million in revenue and $106.1 million in earnings by 2029. This requires significant yearly revenue growth and a substantial earnings increase from current levels. This strategy matters to investors as it tests how quickly customers will embrace a more software-attached model.
