Apple alleges this was to support OpenAI's hardware development. The filing states OpenAI's hardware business relies on "misappropriated trade secrets." The lawsuit also names two individuals: Chang Liu, a former Apple engineer, and Tang Yew Tan, who worked at Apple for 24 years on iPhone and Apple Watch design. An OpenAI spokesperson said the company has "no interest" in other companies' secrets and focuses on building innovative technology. This legal battle highlights growing tensions in the tech industry.
