OpenAI's new GPT-5.6 comes in three versions: Sol, Terra, and Luna. Sol is the flagship, with stronger abilities in coding, biology, and cybersecurity. Terra is for everyday work, and Luna focuses on speed and affordability. Musk claims Grok 4.5 is an "Opus-class model, but faster, more token-efficient and lower cost." This sets up another chapter in the rivalry between Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. They recently concluded a legal battle, which Musk lost.
