SpaceXAI & Cursor AI Model Launch: July 8th Release

SpaceXAI and Cursor are set to release their first jointly developed AI model as early as July 8th, local time. This information comes from a memo sent to employees. The launch was postponed from earlier this week to increase efficiency. The new model aims to process information faster. It is also expected to compete with models like Anthropic Opus 4.8 and OpenAI GPT-5.5. SpaceX previously agreed to acquire Cursor in a 60 billion dollar deal. The CEO of SpaceX mentioned last month that employees from both SpaceX and Tesla are testing this joint model. Cursor's CEO stated they are developing an AI model trained from scratch at the xAI Colossus data center, designed to compete directly with leading AI models. This upcoming release could mark a significant development in artificial intelligence.
